The Planthouse Twelve

The Planthouse Twelve is the largest standard width of greenhouse in the Planthouse range. Available in modules of approximately two foot this greenhouse is for the serious gardener or plant enthusiast. By placing a greenhouse on a low wall the cubic air capacity within the glasshouse is greatly increased making a suitable growing environment for hefty plants. We ask that you build the base for the greenhouse and provide a plan for the construction of this upon order confirmation.

The generous width of this greenhouse allows a great choice of options. You could utilize greenhouse staging on both sides and even down the middle of a glasshouse this size. Many gardeners choose to build raised beds for growing cucumbers, melons or tomatoes within this type of greenhouse.

The options are many and varied when you have a garden large enough to accept such a greenhouse. Selecting brickwork for your greenhouse to match that of surrounding buildings will ensure that the greenhouse sits comfortable with the immediate architecture. During the day as the walls of the greenhouse warm in the sun the bricks also warm up. This heat is stored in the bricks long after the sun goes down helping to keep the greenhouse warmer in the evenings.
