Lean-To Greenhouses
Lean-to Greenhouses
When your garden has a high wall, why not utilize the space by putting a Gabriel Ash Lean-to greenhouse against it. The Victorians used to use Lean-to greenhouses in all their kitchen walled gardens due to the relative ease at keeping the greenhouse warm in the winter.
This is because the wall the greenhouse lean’s against acts like a giant heat sink and absorbs the suns energy throughout the day, releasing it as the sun goes down and the temperature drops.
At Gabriel Ash we have a number of different sized lean-to greenhouses to suit the smallest of walled garden, or even go against the house wall. Our smallest – the New Baby lean-to – at only 4ft x 8ft can fit almost anywhere, and our 10ft wide lean-to can be made as long as the client can fit.
As with all greenhouses, as long as the wall isn’t north facing, the plants in the greenhouse should thrive.
