INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

traditional craftsmanship150 years ago, Great Britain was known as 'The workshop of the world'. Today, the vast majority of products are manufactured overseas. Skills that took a lifetime to master, and which were passed down from generation to generation, are sadly becoming a thing of the past.

At Gabriel Ash Greenhouses, we are proud to remain one of the few companies that still puts faith in the time honoured skills of the British master craftsman.

THE APPRENTICE

Approximately a year ago, to ensure that the decades of joinery experience shared amongst our more senior bench joiners were being passed on, we took on an apprentice joiner from Yale College in Wrexham - Luke Stappleton. Luke also lives locally in the village, so we are not only investing in British skills, but local skills too.

Over the last 12 months Luke has proved to be a valuable addition to the team, making excellent progress on both greenhouses and cold frames, and showing great promise for the future.

AND JORDON MAKES IT TWO

Due to this success story, we are proud to announce that we have just taken on a second apprentice – Jordan Parry, also from the Yale College, Wrexham.

Both apprentices are in the workshop for four days a week, the fifth day being spent studying at college. After their two-year course, it is hoped that both apprentices will become full time members of the team, and carry on our tradition of master craftsmanship to the next generation.

ANOTHER GREAT PARTNERSHIP WE’RE PROUD OF

No one understands the importance of preserving British Heritage more than Gabriel Ash, and no institution applauds this more than the Royal Horticultural Society.

Which is why they were the first to endorse our greenhouses and cold frames, and why you'll find an exclusive collection of RHS greenhouses in the Gabriel Ash range.
