Hidden amongst what looks to be banana trees and bottlebrush you could be forgiven for thinking that this greenhouse is not in the United Kingdom. This is one of our grand glasshouses measuring approximately 12 foot by 16 foot. Since the eaves are particularly high it is possible to put doors in the greenhouse for any of the four sides.

In this instance it looks like the customer has set up some deck chairs in glasshouse - perhaps a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the house. On warm days the automatic roof ventilation system, which requires no electrical power, keeps the greenhouse ventilated.

As the surrounding shrubbery matures the greenhouse will also mature, the cedar acquiring a silvery grey with age. One of the traits that make a Gabriel Ash greenhouse superior by nature.
