The Grand Coldframe

The grand cold frame is the largest frame in the range and as a result comes with two lids. Measuring 3' x 5'5" the cold frame is useful for growing a variety of plants that you might only have associated with a greenhouse. A cold frame may be taken advantage of all year round being used in the winter to over winter tender plants, in the spring for hardening off bedding plants and in the summer for growing a variety of vegetables or salads - or both in a cold frame of this size.

Like our greenhouses the cold frame is made entirely from western red cedar, the lids being glazed in toughened safety glass which is cushioned under a gasket seal secured with powder coated aluminium cappings. The lids can be completely removed or held open at different heights with the stays provided. As with all our greenhouses and coldframes a powder coated aluminium plinth stops the cedar framework from being in direct contact with the ground.

The grand cold frame is delivered neatly packaged to your door for easy self assembly.
