Gabriel Ash goes ‘Potty’ at the Chelsea Flower Show 2009

There’s two ways to view our stand at Chelsea this year - come and see us directly at the Flower Show stand RHW 45 or alternatively hover over the above image for a virtual tour and click the hotspots that interest you.

Another year at Gabriel Ash, another Chelsea Flower Show and this year we’re going ‘Potty’ ! Everyone has room for a potted plant and such a small thing can make a big difference to your wellbeing. What starts with one pot leads to more and this year you’ll see hundreds of potted plants on our stand on Royal Hospital Way.

The bench joiners have been busier than ever before producing cold frames and greenhouses. Despite all the doom and gloom the gardening sector seems to be positively blooming. Customers are taking up their trowels and getting back to basics – a welcome retreat from all the bad news on the financial market. Plane travel is growing increasingly infradig; the pound weedy. Money that would ordinarily be spent on a fleeting holiday can be put toward improving your life outside your back door. If you’re a saver then rates are both unfavourable and unexciting. Let’s face it you won’t find a more rewarding investment than a Red Cedar greenhouse.

The best seller this year has been the Patio Glasshouse which is delivered to your door for easy self assembly, an example of this can be admired on the stand or online for those of you unable to make the show. Produced entirely from Western Red Cedar and glazed in toughened safety glass, there’s room in even the smallest garden for the Patio Glasshouse.

The classic greenhouse range continues to grow in popularity and this year we are showing the venerable Eight House, which at eight foot by ten foot fits in most gardens and features in many wish lists. Expandable on a modular basis the classic greenhouse can be increased or decreased in size in both width and length in modules of two foot. We even offer a greenhouse shed combination.

As for the RHS Collection the entire range has expanded to include Lean-tos and Vinehouses. Free standing greenhouses can be ordered with integral coldframes, brick walls can be built to replace the cedar panelling. Should you wish to access your greenhouse from the side we can introduce a porch and if you’re lucky enough to get to the Chelsea Flower Show you can see an example of this type of greenhouse first hand on our stand. Such a greenhouse maintains all the classic features of the Collection, narrow pane centres, steep roof pitch, cedar hand turned finials.

Prices range from £775 for the patio glasshouse to £15,000 for the Portico although significant discounts will be offered to those ordering during the show.
