The wall at the abutting end of the greenhouse may be a good source of heat and often such greenhouses are used for growing plants that benefit from the additional warmth. Having the greenhouse close to surrounding buildings and services makes it easy to provide electricity to the glasshouse. In this instance the partitioned area can be easily heated with an electric greenhouse heater and lighting ensures that the glasshouse can be used in the darker months of the year.
