Baby Grand Coldframe
The baby grand cold frame is slighly wider than the small baby cold frame measuring 3' x 3'9" giving you more space for storing plants in the winter or cultivating in the warmer gardening months. Many gardeners use only coldframes for their growing despite having the space to accomodate a greenhouse. Although commonly used for bringing on vegetable and salad crops more specialist growers will know that cold frames are positively unequalled for growing cinerias, chinese primulas and other annuals in pots. The lid on the baby grand coldframe is glazed in toughened safety glass and can be removed for easy access to the frame or held open at different heights for ventilation.
Greenhouse gardening is not complete without a cold frame. Although a coldframe can be an effective production unit alone it is commonly used along side a greenhouse to acclimatise plants from inside the greenhouse gradually to the garden environment.
