Gardeners given opportunity to get creative
People who have an untapped talent for gardening in Shrewsbury are being encouraged to get creative for next month's workshops with local garden designer Mike Russell.
Mr Russell is leading an introductory workshop in collaboration with Rachel Phillips, who recently won Silver Gilt for her Budding Scientist Garden at the Royal Horticultural Society's Malvern Show.
Those interested in investing in greenhouses will be able to take part in various activities, including exploring creative ideas for small gardens and learning the key design principles of gardening.
Mr Russell's workshops will be taking place at the Hive and the venue's marketing assistant Habib Malik-Mansell told Shropshire Live the day promises to be an interesting and enjoyable day of activities.
"The Introduction to Garden Design workshop will give people the chance to learn the craft of garden design whilst gaining valuable tips and advice for their own gardens," he added.
Mike Russell has been designing gardens for the past 24 years and, among other awards, has won prizes at the Shrewsbury Flower Show and BBC Gardeners' World Live.
