Classic Greenhouses Greenhouse enthusiasts will be interested to hear that Gardeners World presenter Carol Klein has been forced to close her famous nursery after a dispute over the excess compost which overlooks a neighbour's garden.

Ms Klein's new landlord has decided to end the lease she has on the land - which has helped her win six medals at the Chelsea Flower Show - because her compost heap is an eyesore.

Businessman Len Tanner bought the neighbouring property in February and said that the close proximity of her compost heap - 20-25 yards - made it impossible to bear.

"Carol Klein also has a potting shed and if it was that bit that we saw, it wouldn't be so bad. But I've got all her rubbish in my backyard," he added.

Ms Klein was due to open her garden to the National Gardens Scheme, a project that allows people to visit privately owned gardens, in September but has since had to cancel in light of this development.ADNFCR-1495-ID-800716284-ADNFCR
