Planthouses Former member of pop band Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon could have the potential to develop into a greenhouse enthusiast, after she declared her love for freshly grown produce.

The singer will be a guest at the Southport Flower Show, which gets underway on August 18th in the north-west town, the Formby Times reports.

As a keen cook and winner of the 2008 Celebrity Masterchef competition, McClarnon is hoping to pick up some tips on how to grow various vegetables and herbs.

She suggested that using items that have been grown locally makes food taste better.

"I'm a huge fan of flowers, gardening and fresh produce - so the Southport Flower Show is right down my street," she told the publication.

Another person who is familiar with being part of a popular band and the garden as well is ex-Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, who recently told the London Evening Standard that tending to his patch has helped keep him on the straight and narrow.ADNFCR-1495-ID-800694435-ADNFCR
