New gardening comedy show on at this years Edinburgh fringe
A comedy show all about gardening and growing your own produce is to be performed at this year's Edinburgh fringe, news which might interest people who do cultivate plants in a greenhouse.
Comedy songwriter Jo Stephenson and fellow performer Dan Woods created Can You Dig It? to celebrate the joys of cultivating crops.
"Both Dan and I are genuine allotment holders and our show is inspired by our experiences of attempting to grow veg and the characters we meet down the allotment," Ms Stephenson explained.
Highlights of the show include Gardeners' Question Time "as you have never heard it before", a rap duel between a slug and an angry gardener and a 1980s-style power ballad to Alan Titchmarsh.
The duo are currently recording a CD which they hope to sell in garden centres following its July release.
Can You Dig It? is at Edinburgh's Royal Botanic Garden (Patrick Geddes Room) from August 5th to 29th (not Tuesdays).
