Gardeners Question Time coming to Yorkshire in May
Greenhouse enthusiasts in Yorkshire may be interested to hear that two sessions of BBC Radio 4's Gardeners' Question Time are to be recorded in the county this month.
The first, scheduled to take place in Barnsley this Wednesday (May 4th), will see a panel of experts engage in discussion at Wentworth Castle Gardens, the Yorkshire Post reports.
Next week, the show - which was first broadcast in 1947 - moves to Clapham in North Yorkshire.
The Stainborough Park Heritage Trust has invited the panel to Wentworth, while a local society has opened its doors for the second event.
"Our programmes are hosted by various groups, mainly gardening clubs and horticultural societies - and it's the group which invites the programme that is responsible for the distribution of the tickets," a BBC spokesman said.
"Although groups tend to give the tickets to their own members first there's usually enough space to include non-members."
Tickets for both recording sessions cost £2.50.
