RHS Greenhouse Livestock can make any outside space a livelier place for greenhouse enthusiasts to enjoy, it has been claimed.

In an article for the Daily Telegraph, gardening expert Francine Raymond said keeping poultry is an especially pleasant way of stopping a yard or lawn becoming a "dull and dreary place".

She keeps hens and explained how they need shade and shelter, as well as protection from nasty predators.

"I intend to fence the run with chestnut posts and bird-proof wire, bringing the wire out into an apron and pegging it down to prevent digging intruders," Ms Raymond noted.

The horticulturalist added that hens can have a great life in a garden, while the whole family can enjoy their presence and especially their fresh eggs.

In a recent article for the same publication, fellow expert Bunny Guinness revealed attracting birds to a garden and keeping them happy is a great way to get rid of unwanted insects and bugs.ADNFCR-1495-ID-800500756-ADNFCR
