A greenhouse can fit in any garden
Greenhouses come in all shapes and sizes making them a perfect fit for any garden, according to one expert.
Helen Bostock, advisor at the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), revealed that - as well as traditional glass-framed models - there are plastic mini-greenhouses on the market that are cheap to buy.
"They don't last as long, but they can be invaluable in helping seed-sown veg make the transition from windowsill to ground," she explained.
Ms Bostock went on to point out that these small structures can also be used for growing salads and herbs all through the summer.
The recession does not seem to have had a negative impact on gardeners, she continued, judging by the success of a recently held RHS Grow Your Own theme.
Rod Slater, managing director of All-In-One Garden Centre in Manchester, recently claimed that Britons have currently got "grow-your-own fever", with more and more people purchasing items such as raised beds and potato sacks for cultivating their own vegetables.
