Cold Frames Collection Greenhouse enthusiasts young and old looking for a fun day out may be interested to hear that one garden in Warwickshire is well worth a visit.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Ragley Hall's attractions include a delightful woodland walk, a collection of carriages and the beauty of the house itself.

For older children, there is a 3D maze, as well as a trampoline, climbing frames and a fortress, while younger kids have their own play area.

Even though the 400 acres were designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in the 18th century, not much is known about the gardens' history pre-1873, when a formal display of plants of the world was set up by Robert Marnock, the newspaper noted.

"This naturalistic approach is demonstrated throughout the gardens, with areas such as a spring bulb bank, prairie garden and alpine garden," it added.

Earlier this month, the same publication similarly recommended Green Island Gardens in Essex, which is home to a 20-acre triangular land island. ADNFCR-1495-ID-800483052-ADNFCR
