Artisan Garden category to be introduced at RHS Chelsea Flower Show
Widely considered the premier event on the UK gardening circuit and perhaps even the biggest botany celebration in the world, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Chelsea Flower Show is set to introduce a new section for 2011.
It is replacing the old Courtyard Garden category with one dedicated to Artisan Gardens, helping to spice up the event even further.
The RHS explained that it has asked designers to use natural, sustainably resourced materials in an artistic manner.
Such a new and edgy exhibit is sure to stir up the crowds at the M&G Investments-sponsored event, which takes place from May 24th to 28th.
"We are excited about the new introduction of artisan gardens, which, combined with urban gardens at Chelsea, will ensure that visitors will see some incredible designs highlighting innovation, creativity and sustainability," said RHS head of show development Bob Sweet.
Visitors to the event can expect to see show gardens designed by Bunny Guinness, Madison Cox, Cleve West and Robert Myers.
