Classic Greenhouses The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) today (October 6th) wrapped up a successful year of events with the conclusion of its Autumn Harvest Show.

Finishing at 17:00 BST, the London event was the last in a number of large showcases dedicated to garden and greenhouse activities in the UK.

Visitors were treated to a demonstration from Guy Pullen, who showed them how winter containers could help them achieve great things over the colder months.

Another display was created by Chris Smith, who gave a workshop on fruit tree pruning on behalf of Pennard Plants.

The firm specialises in heritage apple trees that can be grown in containers, making them perfect for balconies and patios.

"We want people to make the connection between the plants they grow and the food in their kitchen," he told the RHS.

In other news, the body recently announced the winners of its Britain in Bloom Awards, with Scottish town Falkland triumphing overall.ADNFCR-1495-ID-800102700-ADNFCR
