RHS Greenhouse Garden and greenhouse fans missing out on this week's Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Autumn Harvest Show can cheer themselves up by booking tickets for some special events next year.

The current show kicked off this morning (October 5th), with visitors being treated to a marvellous display from Interflora.

However, growers can also now get their hands on passes to some of the most prestigious gardening celebrations of 2011.

Among the tickets on offer are those for the world-famous RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where Interflora may choose to defend its 2010 crown.

Next year's event takes place from May 24th to 28th and is described by the RHS as the "ultimate event in the gardening calendar".

The show always sells out and gardeners were urged to act while they still could to give them a chance to see some of the latest trends, discover the amazing displays and purchase outdoor essentials at the world's top horticultural event.

Passes are also available for the RHS Show Cardiff in April and the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and RHS Show Tatton Park in July.

In other news, the RHS reported that research from the International Union for the Conservation of Nature found that as many as one in four plant species could be at risk.ADNFCR-1495-ID-800100196-ADNFCR
