RHS Greenhouse Garden and greenhouse enthusiasts will be able to get their hands on the latest edition of a massively popular horticultural book from next week.

The new issue of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Encyclopaedia of Plants & Flowers goes on sale from September 1st.

Seen as something of a gardening bible, the book has sold almost three million copies since it was first published 23 years ago.

It offers growers advice and information on more than 8,000 species, with thousands of images backing up the hundreds of pages of useful data.

As well as information on the actual plants, it recommends which species are suited to certain types of conditions and soils.

Full colour spreads and a ten-section plant catalogue help make the publication ideal for experts and novices alike.

The book is a great tool for growers planning out their garden for the year, giving them advice on which plants work together and how to get the best out of specific species.

In other news, the RHS recently reported that HM Prison Foston Hall in Derbyshire had won a prize for its garden and greenhouse activities.ADNFCR-1495-ID-800042230-ADNFCR
