Garden and greenhouse internship available
Those interested in replacing Matthew Collins as the Garden Museums horticultural intern have just a couple of weeks in which to apply.
The London attraction will stop accepting applications for the position on August 20th, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) reported.
Last years intern Mr Collins explained that the role gave him space to develop his talents under the watchful eye of experts.
He was given the chance to design and plant a large showcase border outside of the museum, among other tasks.
"Theres been lots of responsibility and a lot of freedom," he told the RHS.
"You learn very quickly - its been my first genuine opportunity to run a garden."
The outgoing intern revealed how his highlights included working with design expert Tom Stuart-Smith and helping Mark Gregory build his RHS Chelsea Flower Show gold medal-winning display.
Meanwhile, the RHS recently revealed that its Garden Harlow Carr curator opened the historic gardens at Goldsborough Hall for the first time in 80 years to help raise more than £10,000 for charity.
