Classic Greenhouses A renowned Dutch flower show is set to play host to a rare Russian tulip, as it goes on display in The Netherlands for the first time.

The near-black Baba Yaga will be on display in the show gardens at the Keukenhof event, which runs from March 18th to May 16th, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) revealed.

A number of other rare and beautiful plants will also feature in a show that uses over seven million bulbs.

The From Russia with Love theme will see the events 800,000 visitors treated to a giant floral centrepiece made up of 65,000 bulbs.

Carmine red, white and orange tulips are among the flowers used to create the large mosaic of Moscows St Basils Cathedral.

In other news, the RHS has revealed that West Sussex Leonardslee rhododendron gardens are set to close after more than a century of opening to the public.

This is a result of the site being bought out by an international businessman, who has his own plans for the famous gardens.ADNFCR-1495-ID-19661801-ADNFCR
