Garden designer looking to bring communities together
A keen garden designer is hugely looking forward to seeing one of her works displayed at a public event for the first time at the upcoming Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) London Plant and Design Show.
This is Local London reports that Justine Jobson has been chosen out of thousands of applications to show her design at the prestigious event, which runs at the RHS Horticultural Halls in Westminster for two days from February 16th.
The key theme of this years show is front garden and balcony display designs, with the 30-year-olds work aimed at bringing communities together.
Entitled Meeting the Neighbours, her creation aims at encouraging people to use their front gardens as more than a dumping ground.
Ms Jobson told the publication: "It is about improving the community by turning front gardens from storage areas for bikes and wheelie bins into beautiful places where neighbours can sit and get to know one another.
"This would build up the friendships and community spirit that used to exist in neighbourhoods a few decades ago."
Alongside the displays of top-quality plants, visitors to the RHS show can also benefit from the knowledge of gardening experts and purchase goods to further enhance their own land.
