Bespoke Greenhouses Brits with a love for garden and greenhouse growing have until the end of this month to enter the Royal Horticultural Societys (RHS) Photographic Competition.

The winner of the adult competition will walk away with £1,000 in prize money and will also be given the coveted title of RHS Photographer of the Year.

Entrants must be 19 or over to enter the six adult categories, which include a plant close-up, plant portrait, wildlife in the garden, garden view, people in the garden and garden edibles.

Kids are not left out though - those aged 13 and under have their own category called In the Garden, while horticulture fans aged 14 to 18 can enter the Budding Photographer section.

The winners of each will be given a high-spec digital camera and the title of RHS Young Photographer of the Year.

Young entrants need only submit a photo of something that interests them in their garden or greenhouse and explain why it caught their attention in a short story.

The closing date for the contest is October 30th, leaving just a few weeks for growers to get snapping.

In other news, the National Trust has discovered a number of rare plant species in its grounds across the country, the RHS revealed.ADNFCR-1495-ID-19409613-ADNFCR
