Greenhouse enthusiasts given internship chance
Those with an interest in garden and greenhouse growing are being given the opportunity to develop their skills as part of a new internship programme.
One of the UKs main horticultural attractions is to offer one grower the chance to shadow some of its experts in order to develop their skills.
The Garden Museum is seeking a newly-qualified horticulturalist to follow its designers, landscapers, nursery growers and other staff for one-half of the working week.
It explained the other will be spent working in the sites display area, helping maintain the plants and attractions for visitors.
The successful candidate will be able to learn from expert designer Tom Stuart-Smith and should be given the chance to help create a new garden for the 2010 instalment of the Chelsea Flower Show - hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
It will offer an "unparalleled overview of Britains horticultural industry", according to the Garden Museum.
In other news, the RHS is to take part in the First International Lavender Conference, which takes place from September 6th.
