RHS issues invite to Creepy-Crawly Week

Cold Frames Collection The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has issued an invitation to its Garden Rosemoor in Great Torrington.

Visitors who attend over the seven days from May 23rd will be able to take part in Creepy-Crawly Week - a celebration of insects and their importance to mankind.

According to the RHS, there are 10,000 insects living in every square metre of habitable land on earth.

Bugs are encouraged into the societys gardens to help improve the soil and pollination.

The Creepy-Crawly Week will have a number of insect-themed activities over the seven days.

Rosemoor is also hosting a "Bangers and Brash" party in its new family picnic and play area on Wednesday May 27th at noon.

Furthermore, the North Devon Beekeepers Association is set to be in attendance on the Tuesday and Thursday.

Visiting families will be able to join members on walks around the gardens at 11:30 and 14:30 BST.

The RHS recently announced its experts are joining Waitrose staff on a road show designed to teach school children how to grow and cook their own food.ADNFCR-1495-ID-19147919-ADNFCR
