Celeb to open garden show
TV regular Christine Walkden is set to attend Junes Llangollen Gardening Show in north Wales.
The One Show garden expert will be guest of honour and officially open the event, which takes place on June 6th.
Walkden is no stranger to the town as she worked and lived there for two and a half years.
The announcement was welcomed by former chairman of the Garden Writers Guild Stephen Green, who used to work with her in Llangollen.
"We are delighted Christine will be at the show because while she is a wonderful breath of fresh air on television she is first and foremost a real gardener," he explained.
"Thats what she brings to her TV work and to the show as well because my background is in gardening and getting people involved and thats what Christine does so well."
After appearing on both Gardeners World and the Paul OGrady Show, Walkden is now the One Shows resident expert on all things garden and greenhouse.
One Show presenter Christine Bleakley recently took part in Strictly Come Dancing.
