Bespoke Greenhouses The phrase keeping up with the Joneses springs to mind when hearing of two couples from Clayton-le-Dale.

The married couples will secretly be hoping to outdo each other over the holiday weekend when they open their gardens up for charity.

Sue and David Brown live across the street from Dorothy and Andrew Richards and both couples are taking part in the National Gardens Scheme (NGS).

The NGS encourages keen gardeners to open up their treasure chests to the public, sharing the benefits and beauty of gardening while raising money for charity.

The gardens on Ribchester Road will be open on Sunday August 24th and Monday August 25th and the couples will take £3.50 for entry.

Despite the fact that there will no-doubt be a friendly rivalry between the couples, the ticket price will grant entry to both gardens as the couples are teaming up to raise the money for charity.

It is the third time that the Richards have taken part in NGS Yellow Book initiative and should have a lot to offer, with Dorothy having completed the royal horticultural certificate in horticulture.ADNFCR-1495-ID-18730765-ADNFCR
