Classic Greenhouses A garden designer has picked up her second award in as many months after scooping the Royal Horticultural Societys (RHS) silver medal at Tatton Park Flowershow.

More extraordinarily, Debbie Cooke, 45, only entered the show ten days before it took place after someone dropped out.

Creative garden Design owner Mrs Cooke said she had to act quick to get her creation ready in time.

"With 10 days to go my husband Darren [her husband] and I dragged the hard landscaping for the previous show garden out from behind the garage and started modifying and painting it," she told The Stamford Mercury.

"We had four days to build it on site instead of the nine days which all the other back-to-back gardens were allowed."

The award comes just weeks after she picked up first prize in the student garden design category at the East of England show in Peterborough.

The first move for budding garden-designers could be to install a greenhouse to aid in the cultivation of tricky plants.ADNFCR-1495-ID-18715222-ADNFCR
