Thousands visit Malvern Spring Gardening Show

RHS Greenhouse More than 100,000 people visited the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Malvern Spring Gardening Show over the weekend, it has been reported.

Online resource the Gazette explains that the 30 acres of showground enjoyed sunshine for the entire event and that a record 44 gold medals were awarded to exhibitors.

Horticultural experts including Joe Swift, Chris Beardshaw and Rechel de Thame were on hand to offer their thoughts on the exhibits.

RHS head of shows development Bob Sweet tells the resource: "There has been a staggering improvement in the quality of the exhibits in recent years."

Sue Jollans who hails from Painswick in Stroud took home the Best In Show award for her garden, which was a tribute to the life of a friend who lost her life to meningococcal septicaemia.

In related news, it has been reported that a garden dedicated to the life of former Beatle George Harrison will feature at this years RHS Chelsea Flower Show.ADNFCR-1495-ID-18594133-ADNFCR
